Synopsis
Love in Tokyo is a charming comedy of chance meetings and happy coincidences. Chi Ku is a little boy in Tokyo who becomes an orphan when his Indian father and Japanese mother die. On hearing the news, his Indian grandmother Gayatri Devi (Lalita Pawar) sends his uncle Ashok (Joy Mukherjee) to bring him back to India. However Chi Ku does not want to leave his beautiful Japan and tries to escape from his uncle by hiding below a truck, where he meets Asha (Asha Parekh). He recognizes her has the girl he saw reported missing on TV, and discovers that she has also run away to escape from her uncle (Madan Puri) who wants to get her married to Pran.
