Alan Tang stars as the head of a triad family who is finally freed from jail after a long sentence. He wants to find his daughter, but finds that his past life keeps catching up with him. Simon Yam plays a nasty bad guy, and the whole thing concludes with an epic bullet battle. Up until then, however, much of the running time is occupied with Tang and his developing relationship with a woman who may help him find his daughter.

This is not so much a review as a word to possible rentors; this copy of the film is only dubbed, there are no subtitles on disk. As typical with many of these era films, the dubbing is pretty bad - but then again, I like subtitles.
The film in itself is an OK story (somewhat remniscent of A Better Tomorrow 2), but....well, no subtitles. I'd have to say the high point is watching Andy Lau as a younger actor do his thing, it is interesting to compare to his later films like Fulltime Killer where he's honed his art.
