Jesus came back at the millenium and refused to perform the apocolypse- Anyway that's the plot, in a Hal Hartley manner- with lots of talking and significant looks while folks smoke and drink coffee and walk purposefully around discussing the end of the world cryptically. Hal Hartley is hands down my favorite director- but I do feel that his later works aren't as fine as his earlier pieces. I enjoyed the movie and its not long about an hour tops- but I didn't like it as much as Trust or the Unbelievable Truth- Still I enjoyed it more than the majority of new hollywood flicks out there- if you like HArtley's films- and a great deal of talking in every movie this is great.
