Just a few words since no one else wrote a review. This is a one-dvd full-length animated feature. No episodes. The animation is top-notch, much of it CG. Appleseed has borrowed elements from Greek or Roman mythology (names like Olympus and Hades), Bladerunner (the whole human vs human facsimile thing), Matrix (some of the music and fight scenes), Star Wars (the wise old geezers), Final Fantasy (but the hair isn't done as well, which is to be expected, given how much it cost in FF) and perhaps others. But it stands on its own rather well. I enjoyed it, but gave it a 7 because the story is kind of trite.
