Soldiers Pay (2004)

Director: David O. Russell, Tricia Regan, Juan Carlos

Rating: Not Rated
Studio: Cinema Libre
Genre: Documentary, Political & Social Issues, Military
Running Time: 35 min.

Filmmakers David O. Russel (Three Kings, I Heart Huckabees), Tricia Regan, and Juan Carlos Zaldivar document first-hand accounts of the Iraq War from those who lived it. Focusing on the men and women in combat, the protesters, the politicians on both sides of the fence, and Iraqis who now live in America, Soldiers Pay is a powerful film that brings forth passionate, moving insights that can only come from the direct experience of war. This controversial documentary was originally commissioned by a major film studio and later dropped when it was deemed to be too hot of a topic.
