Synopsis
TV's most adorable crime-fighting superheroes kick bad guy butt while still getting a gold star in kindergarten in this collection of five episodes from the popular Cartoon Network series. "Birthday Bash" finds Professor Utonium (voice of Tom Kane) throwing a birthday party for Blossom (voice of Catherine Cavadini), Bubbles (voice of Tara Charendoff), and Buttercup (voice of E.G. Daily), but then Mojo Jojo (voice of Roger L. Jackson), the Amoeba Boys (voice of Chuck McCann), and Him (voice of Charles Adler) show up to crash the festivities. In "Beat Your Greens," viewers learn that the Powerpuff Girls are not that different than the other kids in Townsville -- they hate eating their vegetables! But what can they do when they're confronted by a marauding army of angry broccoli from outer space? Princess, an obnoxious spoiled brat, decides she wants to be a Powerpuff Girl in "Stuck Up, Up and Away," and the girls discover it's all but impossible to convince her it's not going to happen. "School House Rocked" has the Powerpuff Girls battling to maintain order at Pokey Oaks Kindergarten when they find some new classmates -- the Gangrene Gang! And in "Los Dos Mojos," Bubbles accidentally finds herself wearing Mojo Jojo's spare turban after a battle with the evil monkey, and discovers she's now convinced she is the criminal genius himself. The Powerpuff Girls: Birthday Bash also features a bonus episode from another Cartoon Network series, Sheep In the Big City. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
