Munnabhal (Sanjay Dutt) is a dreaded by good-hearted underworld don of Mumbal. The police are trying to implicate him on criminal charges but so far they have been unsuccessful because of lack of evidence. One day while beating up one of his foes, Munnabhal sees Komal (Aishwarya Rai) and is smitten by her beauty. He starts visualizing her wherever he goes, and as a result he stops taking part in his usual underworld activities. His men decide to take him to Dr. Rastogi (Amitabh Bachchan), who realizes that it's a "love virus" and advises him to woo the girl, not realizing that she is his own sister Komal.
