Alerted to the incursion of Chirico and the others deep into his territory, Prince Kanjelman sends Ypsilon's team to deal with the intruders. But Borough has plans to his own. He believes that if Ypsilon kills Chirico--and Fyana is forced to watch--the Secret Society will finally shake the hold Chirico appears to have over her. But no one is prepared for how far Fyana will go to protect Chirico!
At higher levels, the commanders on both sides have made decisions that threaten to move the conflict towards a potentially explosive conclusion. As Albert Killy orders Borough to locate and destroy Fyana, Captain Rochina and the Melkian Army wait to see what Chirico's next move will be. Powerful forces are ready to strike, and the Kummen civil war will soon be over..one way or another.
