Private Detective Karl Lubeck is hired by the beautiful Petra Schmidt to find her missing sister. The gangster Petrov and his band of thugs are after a computer chip containing the international banking codes developed for the European Central Bank. Karl soon finds out that Petra Schmindt is a secret agent working for the Council and her supposed sister was the agent assigned to safeguard the computer chip
Where does the truth end? Where do the lies begin? Who has the chip? Karl is quickly drawn into a web of lies and deceit as his simple missing person investigation develops into a murder case of international porpotion. His former secretary Cynthia Lessing is taken hostage and is offered in exchange for the chip. In a rescue attempt the pregnant Cynthia goes into labor and Karl and Petra are also captured. Now he must save them all, safeguard the chip and bring the gangsters to justice. No easy task in a world where even the truth was a lie.
