Synopsis
Here's the complete run of ADV's version of GHOST STORIES. Follow the spooky and often comical tale from beginning to end as Satsuki and her family uncover the paranormal secrets hidden in the abandoned school house. It's going to be a wild ride, especially once one of the demons gets captured in the body of Satsuki's cat and joins forces with her to put an end to the haunted town. But what's causing all this to happen in the first place? Is urban sprawl to blame for the massive amount of ghouls tormenting the citizens? ADV's dubbed version puts a new spin on this supernatural tale and every single episode is included here.

When anime rights are sold to an american company for english dubbing and release, sometimes a series that is less than interesting is bundled with a popular series. Ghost Stories is very much so a bad series. This anime is boring, redundant and silly.

(But keep reading because this is where it gets interesting!)

So instead of following the same formula of hiring a script adapter to adapt the Japanese into English, the company decided to let the voice actors have some fun with the series.

The English voice actors were instructed they could do whatever they wanted with the series as long as the character names remained. The voice actors they left this anime in the hands of are some of the crudest, funniest people in the industry.

The series begins with a few random stabs, but by the last disc, nothing is held back. Nothing, and I mean nothing is sacred, and the series couldn't be funnier. Imagine Mystery Science Theater 3000, if they didn't have to worry about cable standards or law suits.

This is a must own for the crude and crash in the world. The english dub propels this once lame series onto the shelves of everyone who's ever heard of this rare show.

Oh and check out the voice acting done for the youngest of the gang, its absolutely priceless!
