In Venice, agents Kelly and Scotty are approached by a curious gentleman named Luchesi (Laurie Main), who wants to restore the reputation of deceased Soviet author Plotkin. To that end, Luchesi prevails upon the agents to infiltrate an international writers' conference and retrieve the precious "Plotkin Manuscript." Unfortunately, there is an abundance of sinister-looking Russians who seem determined to prevent the manuscript from falling into the right hands-and that's only one aspect of this prickly assignment.
