A Hypocritical Mess

I'll cut to the chase and throw in my two cents: skip this one with a vengeance. Frankly, I found the film offensive. Not the film's violence mind you, but the characteristic hypocrisy of the script that has become a staple of the Hollywood film industry over the past ten years. There must be something hypocritical about a movie that disparages the more repellent aspects of the TV entertainment industry by gratuitously exhibiting the same objectionable acts it purports to condemn in order to make it's point. By the way, the film's point is to lament the lowering of the media's moral standards and it's impact on American society. What better way to get that idea across than to shoot, burn and butcher human beings in graphic detail?
