Brian Shepp directs this comedy about love and hedonism in San Francisco's Castro district. Focusing on the lives of a bunch of ruggedly handsome men, the film depicts a trio of guys who long for domestic bliss. They are, of course, dating men who prefer more casual and varied associations. ~ Jonathan Crow, All Movie Guide

Most of the guys were beautiful. I found myself thinking "Queer As Folk" with some of the characters and storylines but the stories never got deep enough. This was mostly a long video to some awful music. I could see myself in a few of the characters though. I would recommend this movie just to look at the boys but for a story, go with the original (QAF).

If there truely are gay men living in San Francisco that have the misfortune of living the particular brand of gay hell protrayed in this movie, I hope I never meet them. I can't say that the writer/director/producer Brian Shepp's experience here hasn't been truely filled with nothing but shallow, callous, snide queens, but if so I think it's a case of birds of a feather flocking together. I would suspect this movie to be the spawn of religious conservatives in an attempt to reiterate that gay men are incapable of being anything other than a stereotype, but that can't justify the creation of something so horrible. The acting was embarassing and painful to watch, the script flowed like water balloons dropping from an accidental hole in their shopping bag. If god has any mercy at all, I really can't imagine this being an accurate portrayal of anyone's experience.

BAD gay movies
Just in time for Gay Pride! Really cheesy, maudlin, and just plain bad gay and lesbian films. So bad they're good! Somet are just so bad they're bad.
