Ultimate Jordan (Disc 1 of 2) (1989)
Every legend has a beginning. Come Fly With Me is the story of Michael Jordan's. Though now his name is linked to greatness, in his youth Jordan struggled like so many athletes, even getting cut from his high school team. The 50-minute tape explores Jordan's roots in North Carolina and subsequent drafting into the NBA. The story is told through interviews with those that knew Jordan best -- his coaches and friends. Come Fly With Me was made before Jordan's run of championship wins with the Chicago Bulls. Still, the graceful player's destiny is apparent in the early game footage. Despite Jordan's sterling reputation, the shining moments of this video are the action segments. From slam-dunk contests to college clips, Come Fly With Me recalls a younger Jordan, hungry and eager to please, and provides a captivating addition to the sports fan's collection. ~ Sarah Ing, All Movie Guide

Ultimate Jordan (Disc 2 of 2) (1996)
It is easy to become blinded by Michael Jordan's rising star, to see only the slam dunks and focused teamwork. But in the periphery is the motivation behind his incredible talent. What sparks the fire that lead to his domination of the sport of basketball? What could make the most successful athlete of all time retire at 30? In Above and Beyond, Jordan's psychological traits are dissected, his greatness stripped of legendary status and made real. The video explores the reasonings behind Jordan's unprecedented 1993 departure from the sport that made him famous. Through interviews and commentary, it replays his 1995 return to the Chicago Bulls. In between was Jordan's father's murder, his foray into baseball, and his struggle to accept the limitations of his fate. Above and Beyond gives a deeper sense of Jordan's character, one not normally found in sports documentaries. ~ Sarah Ing, All Movie Guide
