When the moon rises, the four young men of Weiss become the most vicious assassins the world has ever seen. When a rival assassin group replaces a young woman's love with one of their own operatives, when a slave ring begins dealing in Japanese girls, and when a group of wealthy entrepreneurs force men to fight to the death in human chess, Weiss comes forth to hunt. Hunters of darkness, deny these dark beasts their tomorrows!

Cute boys with improbable situations by hneline1 September 7, 2002 - 1:02 AM PDT

Imagine the N'Sync boys as La Femme Nikita who join Charlie's Angels. Keep the long hair but make it less fluffy, and add signature weapons such as a sword, a guillotine wire, retractable claws, and darts. Imagine that Charlie's Angels always kill their targets and of course it's a family show so you never see the actual kill or graphic wounds. Then add angst, a lot of angst, about past losses and current loves. There you go, that's Weiss Kruez. It's interesting enough so I'll watch the next DVD, but don't expect probable situations... for example, if you're wounded and you tell your companion to run, then the bad guys see your companion and shoot her, you don't start yelling her name over and over again, which should have attracted the bad guys' attention, you would think...

Knight Hunters are like the Batman & Robins of Japan. During the day, they are mild mannered florists. Then at night, they ruthlessly dispense justice. However, unlike Batman, these guys have no qualms about killing. They are assassins. But killing, even to promote justice, takes its toll. They feel that they are unworthy of a woman's love. In episode 5, Ken falls in love and thinks about leaving the team. Yoji asks Ken, "How many have you killed???... And you can hold her in those arms?" I can't wait to get episodes 6-10.
