This program features a performance of the complete Brandenburg Concertos written by Johann Sebastian Bach. The Brandenburg Concertos remain fresh and popular with the public today even though they were written over 250 years ago. Wars were being fought, and Bach developed his chamber music to accommodate the dearth of musicians at court. Within the limited structure of the small ensemble Bach created brilliant music, full of sound. The Concertos are performed by the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. ~ Rose of Sharon Winter, All Movie Guide
