"Deadly Wake" is evidence genre friendly actors McDowell and Pare careers are in the toilet as they sunk to appearing in drugery like this. Though the two are the only good thing about this movie, even their charismatic presence can't save this film from boring and confusing any and all viewers. The movie mixes way too many diseparate elements (sci fi martial arts action, prison ship and mystical super fantasy) into it's corporate corruption political sentiments. Bottom line: not worth the time and I only rented it because all my first choises weren't available.
