Finally this show is starting to go somewhere. Just in time for it to end. In previous volumes, much is discussed about "The Event" of forty years ago, that took away everyone's memories, but no real answers are discovered. However, volume 4 contains the beginning of the enlightenment. In the final episodes, Schwarzwald returns. You know, the crazy guy wrapped in bandages. He, for some reason, has many of the answers people of Paradigm City have been searching for. But in typical lunatic fashion, he won't give them up easily. We learn a little about the past, before "The Event," and a little about the origins of Big O. The writers then decided it would be best to end the season with a cliff hanger (damn them) so you'll have to watch season two to get any real answers.

I would say the episodes of this disc were carried out in typical Big O style, and with typical Big O action. Thankfully, there are some real developments that occur with story, which would rank this disc higher than vol 2 and 3. I was afraid the series was going to start to get boring, because the story just wasn't going anywhere, but this disc gave it a nice boost of energy. I can't wait for season two.

Note: Unless I'm mistaken, the voice for Duston, in the English dub, has changed. The new actor sounds much younger and higher pitched. It is very disturbing. Not at all befitting the character.
