This movie got two things right: 1. Each actor or actresses screen time is directly proportional to their ability. 2. The props and sets are downright fantastic.
I simply can't understand how a dime-novel story and local play-house acting (apologies to local play-houses everywhere) got paired up with such excellent sets and props. Other than a couple of obviously plastic peices of flair, the costumes are good enough for Braveheart. And the sets (though of small scale) seem very authentic. It's as if some B (C?) movie producer had a stroke of genius and hired a bunch of dedicated SCA-ers to handle the costumes and sets. |
