They're not lost, just confused by Fangs November 25, 2002 - 10:56 PM PST

Aya & Omi's pasts are revealed. In mission 6: Fräulein, Aya is drawn to a high school girl named Sakura, who is a victim of an organ theft. She reminds him of his sister. Weiß finds the culprits and puts an end to their dastardly deeds with a Mission Impossible type ending.

Missions 7 & 10, revolve around Omi and his forgotten past. In mission 7: Entführen, Omi starts getting flashbacks from his childhood. He speaks to Manx about it and she says, "Your memory is starting to come back...Just forget all your painful childhood memories. You'll be happier." Unfortunately, Omi is unable to take her advice, because in mission 10: Bruder, he discovers that the target is his older brother, Hirofumi.

Missions 8 & 9, introduce Schreient, Masafumi Takatori's band of female assassins. The boys are initially unsure of how to combat female assassins. Eventually, they figure it out. The English out takes of these episodes are hilarious. This DVD is definitely worth watching.

Still improbable but more involved by hneline1 September 7, 2002 - 1:34 AM PDT

Unlike the first DVD, where each episode was a contained story, the episodes in this disk start a longer story arc which explores Omi's past and consequently his relationship with Weiss Kruez. I still don't like how wanton human life is treated (a villain kidnaps people to be used as hunting prey; another villain kidnaps children who are killed in human experiments) but what can I expect in a show about assassins. The characters are becoming more vulnerable, more complex and more interesting. BTW, the DVD contains some pretty funny outtakes of the English voiceovers and an entertaining round-robin interview with the four Japanese voice actors.
