What if the dumbest people in the room were the most talkative? I know that's generally true, but that's especially true here, where the yammering brothers have the IQ of toast and butter, respectively. There are also other characters throughout the film, all of whom are theoretically smarter, but clearly less at ease with the world.
I found it funny when I watched it with a friend and was in the mood to laugh. I'm sure that if I watched it alone, it wouldn't have been half as funny. The dialogue is wittily stupid. There is a narrative that moves the meandering forward little by little.
Oh, the synopsis is way off the mark. Brazilians are mentioned in passing, as are puppies. |
