| I'm a long-time fan of writer Naomi Klein, though I've been less familiar with the work of her partner, filmmaker Avi Lewis. My personal interest in this film derives from my fervent concern for political and social issues in Latin America and in Argentina in particular (where I lived for nearly a year and the native country of my soon-to-be husband). It's a powerful and empowering story, one that very much deserves international attention during this age of globalization and economic neo-imperialism. The film is intelligent, human, and generally very well crafted. |
