When I first saw the listing for this. I was wondering if this was a more indie version than the one with Gretchen Mol.
I was wrong.
This was a very horrible D-Movie that had a list of things wrong with it. Bad acting. Bad dialogue. Bad camera movement. Horrible music. Bad editing.
The actress (using that term loosely of course)that portrayed Bettie was horrible also. I guess cause she had black hair she was given the lead. It reminds me of the horrible casting of Jennifer Love Hewitt as Audrey Hepburn.
Horrible movie. Seriously avoid at all costs. |

Consider this a warning. When this movie showed at the SF Indie Fest two years ago, the audience left in droves. The organizer apologized to the audience before the 2nd showing.
Some of the worst acting ever witnessed, and any moments that would have made an interesting story were removed from the script.
Bettie Page fans, if you are curious watch through the 1st recreation of the silent stag film, then skip to the last 5 minutes for some truly "so bad it's good" moments. |
