"You'll be a star, even if I have to pull every dirty trick in the book," says sex-crazed stage mother Emily Potter to her reluctant daughter Susan (future porno actress Jennifer Welles). Newly arrived in Manhattan, Mama Potter quickly steers submissive Susan toward money and fame by setting he4r up with a lesbian talent agent, then offers herself as "down payment" to a creepy photographer if he'll introduce Susan to producer Ross Miller, a bald pervert who thanks the photographer by making him bark like a dog. But mama's in for a surprise when Susan turns out to be even more corrupt than she is: "You're the Devil's own messenger..." Gleefully depraved, CAREER BED is so full of hilariously nasty razor-sharp dialogue that it's a wonder the actor' mouths don't bleed!
