| I would have given this movie a lower rating if it weren't so bad. Movie ratings aren't linearly related to their quality. As a movie goes from bad to really bad, my rating starts to go back up. Although to really enjoy a really bad movie, you probably have to have several friends over with some kind of mind altering substance available. The script, acting, 'special' effects (think 'special' education), and camera work were worthy of Homer Simpson without the irony. |

| I've seen a lot of entertainingly bad movies, but this might be the best one ever. The acting, plot, dialog, special effects and soundtrack are all jaw-droppingly terrible (and hilarious). The only intentionally good part of the movie is the setting-- some of the outdoor shots are both gorgeous and creepy. But that doesn't detract too much from this horrific lame attempt at heavy metal horror. A big bonus is the extreme Eighties fashions and hairstyles; I don't think I've ever seen a movie that captures the worst of the Eighties so well. Before I saw this movie I thought The Oscar was the best bad movie ever made, but I was wrong. Spectacular! |
