| i would agree with LVang5 that, despite the go ahead from Quentin Tarantino, it's hard to get too excited about "blind beast vs. killer dwarf"; the video has a stale, static look to it that unfortunately the pacing of the film matches all too well. However, fans of ero-guro, edogawa rampo, or just strange softcore sleaze shouldn't be scared away so quickly, as there are fun parts involving gore, gore eating, gore love, gory dismemberment, etc. plus prolific director actor icon (?) shinya tsukamoto plays the sherlock holmes-esque detective (whatever his designation, always a welcome presence). and if you do get a kick out of this, check out yasuzo masamura's 1969 version "blind beast", which claustrophobically focuses on the obsessive blind sculptor and features a much more perverse realiztion of his lair. |

| I was disappointed because it failed to entertain. I truly was bored with the story, the scanty acting was very bad, and it looked like a home video. The good thing was the gore and eerieness of the movie. Overall I would save the rental for something else. |
