not one of woody allen's best movies, and one of his rare non-acting films. This film is a sweet romanitic comedy with some deeper philisophical subtext. I guess it is pretty obvious, as movie reality confronts depression era america. This film ultimatly praises frivilous film as an atidote to disapointments and moral confusion. The ending is the best part of the film, as it makes no concessions to the audience and tells the truth. Still, this movie was just cute and I didn't feel that engauged with the story.
