| Leisurely paced, somewhat loosely plotted show that nevertheless drew me in. I was sold on it by the presence of Robert Duvall, but to my surprise it was Thomas Haden Church who won me over with his rock-solid portrayal of the classic western hero, played without any fussy self-consciousness. This is the kind of western that makes you want to go camp in Wyoming. I appreciate westerns whose actors have good seats; Church looks like he's been surgically implanted into his horse. |
