Synopsis
Each segment of the 2000 Years of Christianity video series combines reenactments and footage from biblical locations to detail an element of the religion's history. This fourth episode concentrates how factions split apart after the death of Charlemagne, leading to a rift between the pope and political leaders, which helped to bring about the Crusades. Francis of Assisi's life is touched upon during this episode as well. ~ Perry Seibert, All Movie Guide
