Breakfast with the Colonel (2001)

Director: John Harden
    see all cast/crew...
Rating: Not Rated
Studio: Fidget Barn Productions
Genre: Independent, Science Fiction , Political Satire
Running Time: 76 min.

It is the near future. Marin County, California, has been transformed into Pacifica Province, where a thin veneer of political correctness hides a totalitarian police state. Presiding over it all is Colonel Casper Mach, iron-fisted dictator/beloved media icon. He appears each morning as host of his own TV show, Breakfast with the Colonel. Chronic slacker Jack Sorenson has never thought of himself as a revolutionary. But after a missed rent payment and similar grievous offenses he is declared "lifestyle dysfunctional" and the state sets about fullfilling Jack's unrealized potential. Jack resists. Soon he is a fugitive, pursued by buffoonish neighborhood security and the brutal militia. Ultimately Jack is brought into an encounter with the Colonel himself.
