Synopsis
The story of life on Earth is a journey of literally billions of years, from the moment when the first primitive organisms appeared in the ocean to the moment when they left the sea and crept onto dry land for the first time. Origins of Life: Four Billion Years in the Ocean is a documentary (originally shot and exhibited in the high-definition IMAX film format) which uses special photographic techniques to examine marine life and chart how primitive bacteria eventually evolved to a number of different life forms, including creatures who could survive outside the waters. Origins of Life: Four Billion Years in the Ocean also features an original music score by Bruno Coulais. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
