Synopsis
Katherine (Jacqueline Bisset) is a photographer who lives in the exotic Greek islands with her sculptor husband Patrick (James Fox) in this comedy. The film lampoons tourists, contains beautiful scenery, and focuses on the relationship and eventual reconciliation of Katherine and Patrick. Side plots include a rebellious local involved in politics, an elderly Russian spy (Sebastian Shaw), and the search for an antique urn. Kenneth Branagh and Lesley Manville play British tourists and co-star with Irene Pappas, Robert Stephens, and Paris Tselios. ~ Dan Pavlides, All Movie Guide

There is very little not to like in this film. It is full of nice people in a beautiful setting, with pleasant music. It has an easy humor, mild sexuality, a great cast, and an interesting story suited for a sunny isle. Irene Pappas (from the movie "Z") does a wonderful job as the cantankerous Greek patriot, looking as beautiful as ever. Jaqueline Bissset fans will not be disappointed as she is her scrumptious and delightful self in the central role. The star of the film is the Greek island in high season. Next to a trip there, this film is a quick and easy film holiday filled from beginning to end with beautiful on-location cinematography.
