As the DVD's cover image suggests, this 'documentary' is little more than a pastiche of sci-fi references thrown together with a loose (and I do mean LOOSE) narration and... well, that's about it.

Although each episode covers a different theme, there is little discernible structure beyond that. It's just a hodge podge of old, faded footage (most of which seems to come from previews and other after-market stock) thrown in the blender and spun for 25 minutes at a sitting.

If you simply want a quick and easy source for knowing what has come down the sci-fi pike through the years (say, to help you make a wish list for future viewing), then grab some popcorn (...and maybe a nap) and check out this DVD series. But if you're looking for a documentary with any insight into the history of sci-fi cinema beyond mere name-dropping... well, keep looking.
