Brothers of the Head back to product details

Cringe at the Grunge. Ooooh, fun!

Once again, we get a movie about modern-day musicians, and what happens? They do themselves in via drugs, sex and rock-and-roll. Shocking? Only if you're under-age and have yet to see your first "musician" movie. Since this template is applied to literally every f-ing film on the subject, I guess I ought not to be surprised. But because BROTHERS OF THE HEAD tells the faux documentary story of co-joined twins, one might have expected a shred of originality somewhere along the way.

Not here. For all the hand-held camera work, the gross and dirty colors, the tactile grunge of the clothing, sets and music, it's really just more of the same ol' same ol'. Don't musicians deserve just a little bit better? Don't moviegoers? Nope. So just give over to yet another exhausting "trip" in which we're not even allowed any of the happy "fun" parts as the star begins his/her rise: This one is ALL downhill.
