this film made by John Cohen, also known for his fine work as a still photographer and musician, is a sensitive document and depicts music related aspects of back country living in a visually poetic manner. The style is very unassuming and naturally revealing as a result. I only wish that Mr. Cohen had made many more films like it, as film of country performers from earlier time is scant and this style of depiction is charming indeed.
