Follow four first-timers (called "virgins") as they experience Burning Man, a week-long event held in the scorching Black Rock Desert of Nevada. Their personal journeys are windows into the heart of Black Rock City, a virtual city built annually by over 30,000 people, in their quest to explore the edges of human creativity and experience. These stories were captured in 2001 and 2002 by an international team of filmmakers on over 100 hours of film and video footage. Confessions of a Burning Man is a unique contemporary spiritual quest set in an epic desert location.
