| This charming version of a Sommerset Maugham story is a must for Maugham fans.The acting is very convincing,the cinematography alone merits a trip to the movies. The romance of the story and the background of China with rural scenery is most convincing.Of course, there is the usual Maugham ending to the story. If you like a romantic movie wtih an exotic background, be sure tosee this movie. |
