| Now THIS is what Italian horror is all about. Also known by the title "The Seven Doors of Death," TB has a very detailed plotline, loads of shocking gore and an unpleasant, eerie undertoe of the unspeakable and ghastly supernatural. And you can't beat damnation when it comes to a theme for all that is horrific. A Fulci classic and masterpiece, to be sure. TB is grimey and grim, moody and spectacular in its imagination and invention. If this doesn't leave you feeling spiritually vulnerable and spooked, nothing will. And the gory scenes are excellently crafted to be both stylish and revolting. I personally found the ending to be quite horrifying. Some may not. But I think everyone who loves a good horror movie will put this one on their all time favorites list. |
