| No doubt there will be comparisons to The Shining. Both involve alcoholics with difficult family histories who stay at a hotel with a similarly checkered past, and we become witness to the merging of their twisted "souls". While this isn't up to the par of The Shining, it does a pretty good job of making that experience nearly as creepy. I agree that the ending falls short -- it was, after all, a short story, not a novel |
