Werewolf movies these days are not at all frequent, and what little are offered don't fare to well or just are not as entertaining as you would think [besides 'Dog Soldiers', 'The Howling', the 'Underworld' entries, most don't fare with me. This one is grabbed my attention and held it - for the majority of the first two thirds. It was suspenseful and very atmospheric - those were some of it's good points. When it seemed like the entire town was down to protect the boy and pulled out their steel, I was like, YEAH! Nana held her own. But then it degraded to 'Oh, my husband this', 'Oh my husband that' and 'His father this and his father that' [those who see the movie know what I'm referring to]. A situation in the ending I gave some props to [pertaining to the evolution of a character], but overall the ending was like 'Oh, come on, now. Please.' It brought the movie down. I actually gave it one star less because BOTH ethnic characters were killed off in the SAME SCENE.
