| The women in these movies are an atrocity. Someone should have taken a pair of hedge clippers to their nether regions. Remember, "nature" by itself is a horror show: it needs to be improved upon to be made aesthetically pleasing. Bikini wax and silicone: that's what God intended for women. |

This movie can certianly bring back some memeries. Style of clothing, the hair dues, run down housing and autos. Best of all both of these flick, bring back that wonderfull stereotype redneck humour that's been lost! These are must see films if you enjoy old school, unpolitical crap that makes you laugh at the stupitist things, like the hill-billy accents, clothing, incest, the primitive walking, corrupt sherrife, the joy of moonshine, and more incest. Best of all is all the young girls, all-natural, no silicone here, and a razor? what razor?, pure hairy women just like God made them, not super-fiscial wanna-be models. Enjoy these 2 films, they are really worth the look-see, seveal times over. It was tough to send this one back. |

| These are solid country bumpkin films by Harry Novak. Tobacco Roody is certainly the more well known of the two, but I'm glad Something Weird included Southern Comforts on this double feature. I found Southern Comforts more humorous. The extras include a real gem, a decent commentary featuring Harry Novak. Most of these commentaries sound like the guys creating the DVD just woke the director up at 2 am. While Novak's commentary won't win any awards, he does give a lot on insight into the popularity of country bumpkin films, what's his formula for the films, and why he did so many. Novak is a great producer/director in this genre and its good to hear him given a chance wax about his glory days. Also you find out who the ever present Buckalew is. The Buckalew mystery is worth the rental itself. |
