Brave. As in Stupid. by talltale February 5, 2008 - 9:05 PM PST

When I was growing up, any mention of "The Brave One" immediately conjured visions of a sweet film about a young Mexican boy and his beloved pet bull. No more. Now, unfortunately, this title will simply remind modern viewers of bull--and nothing but.

There must be another Neil Jordan out there somewhere. There just must. Because the guy responsible for wonderful movies such as "Breakfast on Pluto" and "The Company of Wolves" (to name but two) simply cannot have made a shoddy, stupid, pointless and nonsensical film like this BRAVE ONE.

One more thing: After dreck like "Panic Room," "Flightplan" and now this ringer, Miss Jodie Foster had better pick her films with a bit more thought before she sleazes into obscurity with movies like these as her epitaph. Yuucchh!
