what has possessed americans that they love this awful film?

why is it endearing and funny to have a father who won't let you go to college and has to be bullied and fooled into letting you do what you want to do? why is a man a good catch when he is so lacking in testicles that he changes his religion immediately and won't allow his dearest friend to be his best man?

why oh why? i simply don't understand why everyone embraced this film as a charming and romantic work. the characters are hackneyed, the story is unimaginative, the acting is over the top, and the lead is a stump.

and how can anyone define this film as 'feel good'? why would anyone feel good about being trapped for life under the thumb of a possessive family?

somebody 'splain to me.

Weddings can be boring

I came into this movie with average expectations, and left disappointed. Probably the storyline has been overused or I just didn't find it fresh enough. Louis's performance wasn't very engaging to begin with and so was Nia. If you are looking for a weeper or to be touched by the plot, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Overall, not really worth the time spent.
