Among those examined here are Crip co-founder "Tookie" Williams, a Nobel Peace Prize nominee and convicted killer; L.A. crack kingpin Ricky Ross, and his connection to the Iran-Contras scandal; and jewel thieves Troy and Dino Smith, who scored the biggest heist in San Francisco history.
