This chilling tale about the power of the human will comes from Bravo Canada's celebrated H.P. Lovecraft Collection. Horror writer Randolph Carter rents a hotel room only to find that a pool of ammonia has leaked from his ceiling. After the elderly landlady cleans up the ammonia and regales Carter with the story of the doctor who lives in the room above, Carter suffers a heart attack. His visit to the much spoken-about doctor's room upstairs leads to a new friend, but the eventual truth of the doctor's condition and why he keeps his room so cold will haunt Carter--and the viewer--forever.
