The combination of pigtails and gunplay made Gail Davis' portrayal of Western legend Annie Oakley a particularly popular, if at sometimes confusing, figure. Annie and her brother Tagg keep stagecoach robbers, outlaws, and other undesirables moving on. Occasionally the pigtails and sharpshooting would get to Sheriff Lofty Craig (), who sheepishly courts the cowgirl. Episodes included are "Annie and the Brass Collar," "Annie's Desert Adventure," "Annie and the Lily Maid," and "Gunplay."
