Synopsis
Just when you thought it couldn't get any stranger, Excel Excel and her associates encounter the most horrifying of all plot devices... a sub-plot! You won't believe who's been plotting against whom as the writers double cross the author, the director takes a new direction, and the supporting cast comes back with a vengeance but absolutely no clue whatsoever! There's Menchi-mania and Pedro-philia galore as everybody involved takes the fifth in Excel Saga Volume 5!

The wackiness continues by hneline1 May 19, 2003 - 10:22 PM PDT

The wackiness continues in these episodes as Excel Saga parodies the famous Japanese Comic Market and the Power Rangers; an adventure story about an heiress traversing the world in 80 hours to get her fortune; a typical season flashback story; and a pretty boy rock band with undertones of male homosexual attraction (as opposed to lesbian attraction in the previous disk). My favorite part was the Japanese tongue twisters that Key the (male) (non-metal) Idol sings -- they don't look that bad in the translated English subtitles but try saying them in Japanese! I was also surprised at the number of Western references being parodied, ranging from the Robocop holster to the room divider in It Happened One Night. This series doesn't slow down and continues to be hilarious... but I'm getting apprehensive at how it's going to end in the next disk after hearing all those rumors about the final episode ... hm ...

I have gone throught the entire list of anime that GC has to offer and I have come up with these titles that sounded interesting. I particularly like anime with comedy and action

A variety of anime I've seen that I recommend others see. They are listed alphabetically by series and then in the order recommended for watching them.
