| I loved the movie. It is poignant in its beautiful simplicity. Whether or not you can understand the Portuguese (you can choose to watch it dubbed in English or with French or English subtitles) you move right along with the story. I watched it twice. It is a great Pan-African film. I am sure that it must have been a real audience pleaser when it was originally screened. It was amazing to me that a film like this was made in 1958. Truly a beautiful film. Rent it and share it with your friends. |
