At once talented, passionate and self-destructive, Camille Claudel's life was a tragedy. She was a bright and promising young sculptor. But all that has lost in vain in a slow and irreversible decline after her break up with Rodin. For better and for worst, her association with maestro sculptor Auguste Rodin has defined her life. She was his pupil, assistant and mistress and later he has become her demon who haunted her. The sadness was compounded as she has failed the expectation of her supportive father and younger brother.
The film has won many César Awards including the best film and best actress.

Camille Claudel's life was long and depressing. She spent last 30 years of her life in an asylum. She was tormented by delusions all her life. Did you expect a giggly-silly movie?
Ok everyone loves this movie....but why?

It is a festival of grim. One sad thing after another..I think people who enjoy pointlessly depressing movies have found home base here. It is way too long and drags......
