Blood, Boobs and Beast (2008)
Blood, Boobs and Beast tells the compelling story of Don Dohler, whose movies have been called everything from oddly brilliant to some of the worst films of all time. Despite his critics, Dohler has gotten all 9 of his sci-fi and horror films distributed internationally, as well as TV syndication for his first film, The Alien Factor . Dohler has also inspired artists and filmmakers such as Robert Crumb (Fritz the Cat), J.J. Abrams (Creator of TV show Lost ) and Art Speigelman ( Maus ) with his underground comix character ProJunior, and his DIY filmmaking magazine, Cinemagic.
Blood, Boobs and Beast (Bonus Disc) (Nightbeast) (1983)
In Nightbeast, filmmaker Don Dohler rehashes many of the elements of his 1979 film The Alien Factor, this time utilizing a lizardlike extraterrestrial as his villain. Crash-landing on earth, the Nightbeast ravages the countryside, chowing down on human beings whenever he gets the urge. The monster is done in Beast From 20,000 Fathoms-fashion by 30,000 watts of electricity. Considering its cheapness, Terror from the Unknown contains some surprisingly convincing make-up jobs and special effects.
